Updated/Revise review
I did the initial review and after some thought, I'd like to upgrade to 4.5-5 stars.
First - There is no reason that a blade this big should cut so well. It's far from the best cutter, but it has a great grind on this that allows the heaviest and thickest blade I own cut through a big butternut squash.
2nd - White 1 steel. You will be hard pressed to find White 1 that is competently forged/HT much less laminated in-house at this price. Very Good value.
3rd - the Kurouchi. It's a durable rustic kurouchi that his a nice blue hue to it in the light.
Fun knife, good value, good cutter, and TOUGH.
